1. Information We Collect

When you use Destin AI, we may collect:

  • Account information (email, name)
  • Metaphysical data you provide (birth date, time, location)
  • Usage data (feature usage, interaction history)
  • Device information (browser type, OS)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide personalized AI metaphysical analysis
  • To improve service quality and user experience
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send service notifications (with your consent)

3. Data Security

Data is transmitted using HTTPS. Mobile session tokens are stored in the platform Keychain or Keystore. Profiles and history use local app storage; accounts and generated readings are stored on our servers. We do not claim that every stored field is individually encrypted by the application.

4. Data Sharing

Cloud AI features send questions, conversation context and selected birth details to DeepSeek, ByteDance Volcengine or OpenAI. Soulmate portraits are generated by OpenAI from a description derived from the selected details and preferences. Selected photos are analyzed by OpenAI; resulting descriptions may be processed by text AI providers to generate readings. Processing may occur outside your country. The mobile app requests explicit permission before sending; withdraw future uploads in Profile → AI data sharing. Google or Apple provides sign-in, Firebase Analytics processes usage events, and cloud infrastructure hosts the service.

Account deletion and retention

Use Profile → Delete account in the mobile app to delete your account, associated readings and local profiles. Necessary billing records are retained separately for reconciliation. Account deletion does not cancel store or payment subscriptions; manage those with the original provider. Older anonymous shared links cannot be automatically linked to an account; contact us with the link for removal. Withdrawal does not recall data already transmitted.

Face and photo data

What is processed

Only a photo you select and authorize is sent for analysis. Face analysis checks whether one sufficiently clear face is visible and produces text observations of visible forehead, eyebrow, eye, nose and lip shape, with lighting or visibility limitations. Destin does not use these observations to identify or authenticate people, compare identities, or create biometric identity templates. Sign in with Apple and any device Face ID authentication are separate; Destin does not receive your Face ID template.

Purpose and recipients

Photos pass through our Google Cloud backend to OpenAI to answer your requested image or face-analysis question. The resulting text observations, question and relevant conversation context may be processed by DeepSeek or ByteDance Volcengine to compose the response. Processing may occur outside your country. We do not sell face data or use it for advertising, identity recognition or training our own models. Only upload photos you have permission to share.

Storage and retention

The mobile chat serializer does not save uploaded photo bytes in conversation history, and the photo-analysis server does not write those source photos to its application database or object storage. Photos may remain in working memory while the screen or request is active; your original photo remains in your photo library. We do not maintain a cross-request cache of facial observations. Text answers and face observations can remain in local chat history and account-linked server reading records until deleted; they have no automatic age-based expiry. A report link you explicitly create can disclose its text to recipients without login and expires for viewing after 180 days; expiry is not a claim that every stored copy has been erased.

Provider retention

OpenAI photo requests use store:false. This disables response storage for later retrieval; it does not mean zero retention. OpenAI documents default abuse-monitoring retention of up to 30 days, with legal/safety exceptions and additional image-handling rules. We have not verified an approved Zero Data Retention arrangement for this service. Other AI providers apply their own policies to the text they receive. Your controls and deletion

Photo-library or camera permission alone is not AI upload consent. Decline the separate photo-sharing prompt to avoid transmission, or turn off photo sharing in Me > AI data sharing to stop future uploads. Delete saved conversations in History; account deletion in Me > Settings > Delete account removes account-linked active records and local account data. This does not delete originals from your photo library, recipients' copies, or provider-retained safety records. For guest/older anonymous report links, or access and deletion requests, email contact@destinai.me with the relevant report link or account details; do not email another face photo merely to request deletion.
